” The Nigeria’s Automotive Industry Stakeholders Unite for Road Safety”

Lagos, Nigeria’s Centre of Excellence, played host to the 4th edition of the ONTHEHIGHWAYAFRICA Road Safety Campaigns Flag Off on November 20, 2024.

The event, organized by JCN Consulting under the leadership of Julie Chi-Nwaoha, Founder/Publisher of OnTheHighwayAfrica Magazine and National Head of the Celebrity Special Marshal Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps, brought together stakeholders from Nigeria’s Automotive Industry, Road Transportation, Red Cross Society and Road Safety Management.

In attendance were high net worth individuals, leading automotive brands in Africa, including Mercedes-Benz, Toyota Nigeria, and SMT Nigeria, as well as representatives from the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Red Cross Society of Nigeria, and other road safety management and advocacy organizations.

OnTheHighwayAfrica is dedicated to promoting road safety awareness across Africa through public enlightenment, education, and advocacy. The organization engages in various initiatives, including road safety education, driving academy training, and philanthropy.

During the event, participants shared their thoughts on road safety, and keynote addresses and presentations were held. A fire chat with speakers delved deeper into the theme “Commuter’s Right to Safe Journey in Sustainable Cities and Communities.”

The event concluded with an awards ceremony, recognizing companies and individuals who have supported OnTheHighwayAfrica’s mission to promote road safety.
