Weststar, Others To Grace NAJA Training Programme July 29
Weststar Associates Limited, Stallion Motors, Toyota Nigeria Limited and other stakeholders will grace the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association ( NAJA) Training/Capacity Building Workshop scheduled to hold Friday, 29th, July, 2022 at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Ikeja
Weststar, the lead sponsor of this year’s training programme is the authorised general distributor for Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge in Nigeria.
Already, Weststar has indicated maximum interest and support for the training programme which is the 7th edition in the series.
This is not the first time, Weststar is supporting the training programme. Apart from marketing the renowned brand it represents in Nigeria in the past 15 years of existence, Weststar has always supported activities that bother on human capital development, not only for the internal staff but also, as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Over the years, the auto company has shown strong interest in the development of the auto industry in the country, just as it coordinates Mercedes Benz and other brand’s business activities including; sales, dealer support, fleet management support, after-sales services, warranties, marketing, public affairs, and trainings.
Similarly, Stallion’s Automobiles which represents an array of globally renowned automobile brands has always thrown its weight behind the annual training programme.
Others are Toyota Nigeria Limited, NADDC, FRSC, CFAO etc.
Stallion Motors Nigeria Limited, with Nissan Motors South Africa was the lead sponsors of the 2018 edition.
Training facilitators for the programme include: Deputy Managing Director, CFAO, Mr Kunle Jaiyesimi; Chief Technology Officer
Pro-ICE Ltd, Mr Kunle Bamidele and Communication and Marketing Consultant, Dr Oscar Odiboh.
Commenting on their preparedness towards the training, Chairperson, NAJA Training Planning Committee, Mrs Julie Chi-Nwaoha assured that plans are being put in place to ensure a hitch free training.
Mrs Chi-Nwaoha commended Weststar Associate, emphasising that the company has always been at the forefront when it comes to supporting the activities of the Association.
While promising that the programme will enrich and widen the knowledge of the auto journalists, Chi-Nwaoha also informed that the 2022 edition is going to be different from previous ones held at different times.
Also speaking, Chairman, NAJA, Mr Mike Ochonma stated that everything has been put in place to ensure that the training serves the purpose for which it was instituted in the first place.
Ochonma thanked those who have supported to see that the training come to pass.
From the beginning of the the programme Ford Motors South Africa (FMCSA) in collaboration with Coscharis Motors has been a major sponsor of the training programme, particularly in he first and second editions held in 2016 and 2017.
NAJA is the umbrella body of Nigeria’s motoring journalists which cuts across the print and online publications. The training workshop is an annual training programme, organised to refresh the minds of practicing auto journalists on the trend of auto journalism worldwide.
